From Shandy to Craft Beer Marketer

Image
It's always a journey to learn and discover something new as we grow. Beer is not something that I know how to enjoy from the beginning. Being brought up by a strict Chinese family, I was not exposed to any alcoholic drink until I turned 15. I had my first Jolly Shandy which is less than 1% of ABV (Alcohol By Volume) during Chinese New Year that year. It's fun to finally feel grown up that time when your parents finally allows you to touch the alcoholic drink which might be just soft drinks to most of the children now. But it is different 10 years ago especially when you have strict parents. My first exposure of beer was when I am 19. A pint of Hoegaarden, a witbier from Belgium with 4.9% ABV. I still remember clearly it was at The Library Restaurant and Bar, Avenue K (now The Library Coffee Bar). I do not like the taste of the beer when I first drink because of the bitterness and some other 'weird' taste of the beer. Everyone need to have their first time to

STAGE Bandar Mahkota Cheras

Image
Came here a few rounds.. I just fell in love with this place..  Coffee.. Food.. Ambiance..  The cafe ambiance here is comfortable with some nice soothing songs played as the background..  Once you enter the cafe, you will be warmly greeted by the aroma of the coffee.. It is very strong and it is a temptation for all coffee addicts and to me also because I am not a coffee addict.. I couldn't take too much of coffee due to the acidity which is bad for my stomach.. (Yeah I have gastric issue) Okay.. Back to the topic.. STAGE.. Other than the ambiance.. The FOODS!!  The Friendship.. I would strongly recommend you this..  Although it looked like Stone from the appearance, but its actually a Chiffon Cake..  Earl Grey and Jasmine taste.. with the special made Caramel Sauce..  Which make it taste extremely different on its own and with the dip..  I love it without the dip but some love it with the dip..  I went there a few rounds..  And I could

Klang Bak Kut Teh and Regent Pandan Layered Cake

Image
It's a public holiday today.. Therefore went a bit far for breakfast then drop by at Regent Pandan Layer Cake Shop to try our luck on the Pandan Layer cake with went viral on the internet when the boss say he will close down the shop..  Reached the Klang Bak Kut Teh at about 8.30am..  The crowd is still okay.. We manage to get our seats very quickly..  This is the second time we came here.. The taste is still the same..  Love their Meat and the Soup with a little herbal taste.. (I ain't a fan of Chinese Herbs tho) I think the Klang people called this the Under the bridge Bak Kut Teh.. But actually they are called Seng Huat..  Next, the Regent pandan layered cake..  Never know that this is famous until the other day Malay Mail covered and it is shared in the FB..  So decided to come here for a try..  About 7 mins walking distance from the Bak Kut Teh.. (Just walk straight and pass the KTM station, post office and a few rows of s

Mochu Locco Zakka Café

Image
Mochu Locco Zakka Cafe located on a Hill in Cheras (Bukit Segar).. Quite hidden but it is still found on Waze. Was here because some recommended this cafe as the top 3 Cafe in Cheras..  So I decided to give it a try..  Here are the menus for this cafe as per today..  The price is not that expensive compared to others cafe..  The reason? I think is the location I guess..  This cafe is not that crowded when I visited them..  Maybe it is still early I guess...  On the menu, there are baked eggs, bagels and croissant under the category of light food..  But we didn't manage to order any food because we just had our lunch before heading to this cafe..  There is a few types of beverages available here.. But we only tried the Coffee and the non coffee..  Cappuccino This cappuccino in my opinion it tasted more like latte..  The milk proportion is too much for a cup of Cappuccino..  So my rating for this would not be high around 2
