Klang Bak Kut Teh and Regent Pandan Layered Cake

It's a public holiday today..
Therefore went a bit far for breakfast then drop by at Regent Pandan Layer Cake Shop to try our luck on the Pandan Layer cake with went viral on the internet when the boss say he will close down the shop..

Reached the Klang Bak Kut Teh at about 8.30am..
The crowd is still okay.. We manage to get our seats very quickly..

This is the second time we came here..
The taste is still the same..
Love their Meat and the Soup with a little herbal taste.. (I ain't a fan of Chinese Herbs tho)

I think the Klang people called this the Under the bridge Bak Kut Teh..
But actually they are called Seng Huat..

Next, the Regent pandan layered cake..
Never know that this is famous until the other day Malay Mail covered and it is shared in the FB..
So decided to come here for a try..
About 7 mins walking distance from the Bak Kut Teh.. (Just walk straight and pass the KTM station, post office and a few rows of shoplots)
We reach here about 9.30am.. Because we Google search it indicates that it opened at 9am..
Upon arrival, the shutter is closed..
Was wondering if it is already close down or not operating during the public holiday..
So wonder around the shop awhile.. Hoping there is miracle..
The windows are opened and the workers asked us to enter through the back door..
Then we managed to know that it actually opened at 10am..

Pandan Layered Cake RM 11.30 for small and RM22.50 for 1KG

Yam Layered Cake (same price)

Okay.. Couldn't wait till home and tried the cake immediately after we went into the car..
The both the cakes are not very sweet.. Moist.. and aromatic..
Love the Yam Layered cake the most.. (I am a YAM freak)
The Pandan Layered Cake is a nice too!
These two cakes really did not disappoint me..
Anyone who loves these kind of cakes should drop by here and try it at least for once..
Although the price is a bit too high..
But I guess.. Price does not matter when it comes to nice food.. (At least to me)
This cake house also sells other cakes.. Like marble cakes, walnut cakes and banana cakes..
I guess we are too early and the cake is not ready yet..

We also passed by another Kopitiam nearby which is packed with a lot of people..
and most of them are having Nasi Lemak.. It's Chong Kok Kopitiam is guess..
I think I will try to drop by to explore what's nice there the next time I drop by at Klang.. :)

Till then.

Love,
Miss Z.
